Fully offline

Codes are computed with standard cryptography (RFC 6238) right on your device. The app needs no account and never phones home.

Switch in minutes

Scan the export QR codes of Google Authenticator directly — all accounts including secrets transfer 1:1, without re-enrolling 2FA at any service.

Stored securely

Secrets live in your device's secure storage (iOS Keychain, Android Keystore). App lock with PIN, Face ID or fingerprint.

Encrypted backup

Save all accounts as a password-protected file — to the Files app, iCloud Drive or your own storage. You decide where.

No lock-in

The built-in export gets your accounts back out at any time — as QR codes in the same format other authenticator apps understand.

Google Authenticator has a built-in export — GAIAs Authenticator reads it directly.

  1. 1Install and open GAIAs Authenticator.
  2. 2In Google Authenticator: Menu → Transfer accounts → Export accounts.
  3. 3Scan the displayed QR codes with GAIAs Authenticator.
  4. 4Compare the codes in the review screen — if they match, transfer. Done.

Important: never take screenshots or photos of the export QR codes — they contain all your secrets. Scan directly from screen to screen, and clean up the old app only once everything works.
